Today, a feminist activist from HAVE IT collective came to the course and spoke about their interventions in public space. The collective was founded in 2011 by two pairs of sisters. Since this moment, they are intervening in kosovarian politics and social movements. Their first intervention was the public commemoration on 8th of march of two women that were killed by their husbands - Diana Kastrati and Zejnepe Bylyqi. There is around 900 reported (!) cases of domestic violence, up to murder, each year in Kosova. We speak about how the nation-state fails to offer any security and representation to women allthough hope was big in the "new country".

This work comments on the Kanun. It cooks it.
"The Kanun is a set of traditional Albanian laws. The Kanun was primarily oral and only in the 20th century was it published in writing. The Kanun of Lekë Dukagjini (Kanuni i Lekë Dukagjinit) was codified in the 15th century. Six later variations eventually evolved."
